Picture this: 4 acres of lush greenery by a river, a place that felt magical but needed a bit of TLC. Similar to the movie "We Bought a Zoo," we took a leap of faith and bought an inn! We have transformed it into something special.

It was a conscious choice to extend the very essence of The Carpentry Shop lifestyle into a physical space. We believe this space is where our craftsmanship meets heartfelt hospitality, and where each piece of furniture carries a story of passion and dedication.

Tomorrow is the Big day!!!! Excited to announce the opening of 12 rooms. This has been quite the journey. We didn’t know what we got ourselves into when we decided to purchase this beautiful but neglected inn. It needed a lot of work. With the help of incredible people we can now open our doors. We can not stress how important Ray, Dan and team have been. Making sure this opening could happen. We need to thank our General Manager Cynthia who has been with us every step of the way on this crazy Journey. We have amazing talented local staff that have joined our team and have busted their butts this week to get everything ready. Thank you Nikki and Jenny. We are so excited for the warm welcome from the Dover community. We are overwhelmed with appreciation when you ask us how things are going and we know you are cheering us on the whole way. Last we want to thank our families and close friends. They have given up their weekends to help demo, watch the girls and offer support in various ways. The room numbers are almost ready. Can’t wait to share the final pictures this week. Making the room numbers has taken several days. From selecting the wood, making the epoxy molds, making custom colors, pouring the epoxy, putting them on the CNC machine, then mixing and pouring epoxy on top. Last step sand and finish.
